
Bobby Jack Morrison
KONAWA — Bobby Jack Morrison, 79, Konawa resident, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at his home. Bobby was born June 5, 1938, in Seminole, the son of Joseph Ervan Morrison and Lucy Kane Morrison.
He graduated from Bowlegs High School in 1956 and later attended Murray State College and Okmulgee Tech School. He loved fishing, brush hogging, lawn mowing and was a member of Bowlegs Assembly of God Church in Bowlegs.
He was a draftsman and surveyor for Conoco, Inc. in Ponca City for 38 years before his retirement.
He married Betty Ladd Morrison on Feb. 20, 1960, in Bowlegs. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty, of the home in rural Konawa; his son, Joe Morrison and his wife Jennifer, of Ponca City; his daughter, Donna Glasscock and her husband Alan, of Konawa; his grandchildren, Sara Anderson and her husband Stan, of Ada, Josh Glasscock and his wife Reana, of Tulsa, Daniel Morrison, of Ponca City, Bobbi Park and her husband Corey, of Claremore, Shannon Morrison, of Claremore and Chris Smith, of Ponca City; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Easton, Emerie,
Hayden, Addison, Kennedi, Lincoln, Eli, Emma, Alizabelle, Anakin and Charlie; his niece, Theresa Plunkett and her husband Chuck, of Seminole and a nephew, Gary Mainord and his wife Sandra,
of Seminole.
A funeral service is planned for 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Bowlegs Assembly of God Church in Bowlegs, with the Rev. Roy Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Vamoosa Cemetery of highway 99 south of Bowlegs.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
