
Glynn E. Cox
Glynn E. Cox, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, in Ponca City. He was 86 years old. Glynn was born on June 7, 1931, in Enid, the son of William and Hazel Beavers Cox. On June 5, 1955, he married Phannie “Faye” Stewart in Enid. The couple lived in Enid, Tulsa and Oklahoma City, before settling in Osage County. He was a terminal manager and was a truck driver for Rocket, C & P Transport, ANR Transportation and Walmart. He was accompanied by his wife when he drove for Head Country Food Products and finally retired in 2013.
Before retirement the couple enjoyed camping, boating and riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye; his parents and one brother, Lorraine Cox.
He is survived by his children, Allen Cox and Vickie Clark, both of Ponca City; grandchildren, Chris Hoddy, Justin Hoddy, Austin Hoddy, Brook Hoddy, Bryce Hoddy and Audrey Hall and three great-grandsons, Parker Hoddy, Connor Hall and Cameron Hall.
A funeral will be held on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Sweetman, pastor, presiding. Following the funeral, he will be laid to rest next to his wife in Enid Cemetery. His family will be available to greet friends on Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 6-8 p.m. at Trout Funeral Home and friends may come by the funeral home from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
Casket bearers will be, Chris Hoddy, Austin Hoddy, Michael Hall, Russell Cox, Brad Allensworth and John Allensworth.
Honorary casket bearer will be, Bill Selby.
