The Friends of the Ponca City Library will host their second $2 per bag book sale of this year beginning Friday, April 13. The sale will continue until 12 p.m. on Tuesday May 1. This will take place on the lower level of the Library as well as in the Book Sale Room and on the shelf across from the Circulation Desk upstairs where there are books for the younger set.

The FOL will provide brown grocery-style bags or you may bring your own similar bags (paper or cloth). If you only want one or two books, the normal price is 50 cents for hardcover books and 25 cents for paperback books. Once you select several books however, it is normally better cost-wise to get a whole bag full. Reader’s Digest condensed books, VHS tapes and magazines are always free.

There does not seem to be many DVDs or CDs but if so, they will be on the lower shelf just inside the Book Sale Room. Some books will be on the tables in front of the multi-media desk. There are quite a few Large Print books and will probably be out on the tables as well. The same holds true of biographies of which there are many covering a wide range of occupations (sports, politics, performers, etc).

If you need to clean out your bookshelves at home, just pack them up and bring when you come to take advantage of this sale. The Library will always receive donations. The proceeds from book sales go to support many of the extra activities offered by the Library staff that are not covered by the general budget.
