Rodney Neil Walker

Rodney Neil Walker, 62, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kan. He was born Sept. 15, 1955, in Salina, Kan., the son of Floyd and Alma Mae Horst Walker.

Rodney graduated from Pratt High School in 1973. He attended Pratt Community College for a year.

Rod moved to Ponca City in 1977, where he met and married Kathlene Northrup Bohon in 1981 and raised three kids, David Bohon, Shelley Bohon Belair and Shawn Walker. Rod worked at Floor Craft for 30 plus years as a professional floor installer. He was a member of Grace Tabernacle Church. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, golfing and bowling.

He enjoyed watching his kids play sports and grandkids grow up.

He is survived by his wife, Kathlene Walker, of Ponca City; sons, David and wife Lupe Bohon and Shawn Walker, all of Ponca City; daughter, Shelley and husband Brian Belair, of El Dorado, Kan.; his mom, Alma Walker, of Preston, Kan.; brothers, Terry Walker, of Blackwell and Mark Walker, of Preston, Kan. and five grandkids, Seth and Payton Belair, of El Dorado, Kan. and Jacob, Camila and Katie Bohon, of Ponca City.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd.

Cremation has taken place. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Grace Tabernacle Church, Ponca City.
