Jacob Ethan Kyle Walling

Jacob Walling, 32 year-old former Mooreland resident, passed away at his home in Ponca City, on Saturday, July 28, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday, Aug. 3, in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel in Woodward. Burial will follow in the Mooreland Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the United States Army out of Fort Sill.

Jacob Ethan Kyle Walling was born Aug. 31, 1985 in Woodward to Charles Alex and Debra Lea Cochran Walling. Jacob grew up in Mooreland attending Mooreland Elementary and graduated from Mooreland High School in 2005. Jacob was inducted into the United States Army in 2008 and served his country with the 101st Airborne. He was a Fire Support Specialist and earned the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with a Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon, and his Parachutist Badge. Jacob was honorably discharged in 2009.

He was currently working at Dorada Foods in Ponca City. He loved working out at the gym and spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed texting his niece Pamela.

He grew up in the Assembly of God Church in Mooreland.

Jacob is survived by his parents, of Mooreland; fiancé Angela England, of Ponca City; one brother, Zachary Walling and wife Angela, of Stillwater and their daughter Catheryne; one sister, Kea Conrady and husband Chris and daughter Pamela Jade Hager; grandmothers: Dorothy Walling, of Mooreland; Rosalie Cochran, of Woodward; aunts and uncles: Jim and Linda Walling, of Mooreland, Janis Morris, of Houston, Texas, Ricky Cochran, of Houston, Texas, cousins: Lisa and Todd Sanders and children, Colin and Jackie Cochran and children, Brooklyn Morris and children; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James M. Walling; maternal grandfather, Herschel Cochran; cousin, Jamie Walling and great-grandma, Opal Walling.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Wounded Warriors, c/o Billings Funeral Home, 201 N. Main, Mooreland, OK 73852.
