Wanda Lou Bell

Wanda Lou Bell

Tuttle resident, Wanda Lou Bell, 77, suddenly left this earth on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018.

She was born Oct. 26, 1940 in Ponca City to Howard and Beulah Epperson Walden.

Wanda was a very independent and strong-willed woman. She was a single mother to three wonderful children. Wanda was also a mother to all of their friends, and “Ma Bell’s House” was always the place to be. She worked hard all of her life so that her children could have anything they needed. She worked at TG&Y as a money manager and then worked at General Motors, from which she retired. One of the fondest memories the children have of Wanda is their Saturday afternoon Soul Train dance parties in the living room. She loved to have fun, play the penny slots, listen to music, and spend time with her children. She was a bright and loving person who was loved dearly and will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Michael Ray Harrell.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and Jimmy Brown, and Angela and Michael Morgan; brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Gloria Walden; granddaughter Shannon Cao and Kevin Hardey; great-grandson, Lance Cao; her beloved dog, Oscar; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bill Merritt Funeral Service in Bethany, Okla.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Bill Merritt Funeral Service with interment to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Ponca City IOOF Cemetery.
