
JoAnn Lucille Haney
JoAnn Lucille Haney, a long-time resident of Fairfax, Okla., passed away after a short illness on Sept. 11, 2018, at Fairfax Manor Nursing Home.
A private family memorial ceremony has been held. Arrangements were under the direction of Poteet Funeral Home and Crematory, Pawnee, Okla.
JoAnn was born on June 11, 1937, in Austin, Minn., to Howard and Margaret Leachman Greenlee. After graduating Austin High School in 1955, JoAnn
married her high school sweetheart, Arnold Haney. The couple farmed in the Elkton, Minn. area for many years. In 1985, the moved to Fairfax, Okla.
where JoAnn acquired her LPN license, of which she was extremely proud, and worked at the Fairfax Hospital until retirement.
JoAnn was a wonderful cook, especially during the holidays. She like to sew for her family and loved to tend to her beautiful rose bushes. In the
last few years, during hunting season, JoAnn’s favorite activity was to tag along with Arnold, sit with him and wait for the Big Buck to come around
the corner.
JoAnn is survived by her husband, Arnold; five children, Gary (Dawn) Haney, of Fairfax; Debra Haney Carr, of Stillwater; Larry (Diana) Haney of
Big Lake, Minn.; Scott (Jamie) Haney, of Ponca City; Darwin (Marilyn) Haney, of Ponca City; sixteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents; her four brothers, Maynard Greenlee, Ronald Greenlee, Howard Greenlee, Jr., and Robert Greenlee; and two
sisters, Marcella Waller and Beverly Hungerford.
