Deborah Ilene Goddard McGuire
Deborah Ilene Goddard McGuire, of Ponca City, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sept. 15, 2018 at the age of 68.
Debbie was born on Sept. 3rd, 1950 in Ponca City to parents R.A. and Dorothy Goddard. She was raised in Ponca City, and though she moved away several times in her adulthood, she inevitably moved back to her hometown each time. She returned to Ponca City for the final time, roughly twenty years ago, where she remained until her passing.
Debbie was a wonderful and loving mother to her two children, a doting grandmother, and proud great-grandmother.
She loved being outdoors and tending her garden whenever possible.
She had an indomitable spirit, a vibrant personality, and above all, a loving and caring nature.
Debbie is survived by her children, son Jeff Hargraves and wife Betty Hargraves, as well as daughter Julie McGuire Lunsford and husband Chris Lunsford; grandchildren, Kimberlee Nicole Burgess, Alaina Ilene Lunsford, and Jace William Frazier; great-grandchildren, Kylan, Kasen and Korbyn Lieb.
She is also survived by her sister Cheryl Wells, her older brother Kenneth Goddard, her ‘baby brother’ Anthony Goddard, as well as her dear friend since childhood, Cathy Belhady.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, sister Barbara Burdick, and three brothers, Leary Goddard, Raymond Goddard and Jerry Goddard.
In passing, Debbie also follows the two great loves of her life, husband Jimmy Allen McGuire, and Peter Anthony Peg.
Debbie drew strength from her faith and joy through her loved ones.
Although our loss is profound and immeasurable, we congratulate Heaven on its acquisition of such an extraordinary, incredibly beautiful, and remarkably loving soul.
