Loretta Faye (Hallmark) Nitz was born in Ponca City, Okla. Her parents were Edith Mary (Quick) Hallmark and Lloyd Hallmark.
She spent the first 21 years of her life in Ponca City. She graduated from Ponca City High and then from business school a year or so later. She met her husband Fred and they married the following year.
The first few years were kind of tough as Fred was in college working toward a Civil Engineering degree and Loretta was the breadwinner. Then came daughter Sheri Lynn, then daughter Lori Ann and by the time we moved to California, there was daughter Trudy Kay. The next 35 years revolved around family life and Fred working at Rocketdyne in the space programs. During this time all the girls graduated from college. Upon retirement in 1996 there was traveling in the US as well as abroad.
She was blessed with 60 wonderful years of marriage. She is survived by her husband, her daughters, son-in-law Tom Morano and three wonderful grandchildren, Alexander Lloyd Morano, Ryan Joseph Morano, and Kalynn Ann Morano. A memorial service will be held at St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Winnetka, Calif., Feb. 16, 2019 at 9:30 am.
