Marjorie was born the second of four children on Monday, Nov. 12, 1923, the daughter of John Ross Conrad and Lillian Pearl Whitesell Conrad in Ponca City. She was raised in Ponca City, graduating from Ponca City High School in 1942. Following high school, she worked as a telephone operator at the Jens-Marie Hotel for 10 years. During this time, she married Arthur Warren on Jan. 4, 1947, in Ponca City. Later, she worked for Dollar Saver, Inc. for 20 years before retiring in 1990. Ever the faithful wife and mother, she ensured the family always had a hot meal on the table in the evening, even after working a long day. Love for her family gave her great motivation in all she did. As an active mother in her children’s lives, she led the Camp Fire Girls Blue Birds and worked the concession stand at baseball games while her husband Arthur coached the team. She was a caring, humble soul, always looking to see how she could help others, without desiring acknowledgement for her kindnesses. She enjoyed playing golf, sewing, crafts, cracking pecans with Arthur and tending to her lovely flowers. Through the years, she faithfully attended First Christian Church.
