CHEROKEE — Stephanie Lynn Jones, formerly of Blackwell, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at her home in Cherokee. She was 52.
Stephanie was born on Feb. 28, 1965, in Blackwell to Doyle Wayne and Peggy Jo Parker Stephens Sr. She grew up in Blackwell and graduated from Blackwell High School in 1983. Following her education she married Merl Allen Jones and they settled in Blackwell where she served her family as a homemaker. In 1998 she began working in the housekeeping department at Blackwell Regional Hospital and worked there for five years. In 2003, the family moved to Aline, before moving to Cherokee in 2010. While in Blackwell she attended First Baptist Church. She enjoyed collecting Coke memorabilia and being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Merl, of Aline; a daughter, Mendi Jones, of Ponca City; two sons, Jessie Jones, of Ponca City and Casey Jones, of Aline; a brother, Wayne Stephens, of Blackwell; three sisters, Michelle Harman, Connie Gardner and Carla Stephens, all of Blackwell and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A service is scheduled for noon, Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Blackwell.
A memorial has been established in her honor with the Veterans of Foreign Wars in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, OK 74631.

Saturday – February 10, 2018
June Paulette Cross — A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. at Albright’s United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery, located on south Grand Avenue in Cherokee under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
Linda Carol Jernigan — A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Blackwell Cemetery.
James Hoyd O’Neil — A memorial service will be held at First Lutheran Church, Ponca City, at 10:30 a.m. with a family luncheon to follow. Arrangements under the kind guidance of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors, Enid.
Robert “Bob” Eugene Sheik — A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church, 610 W. Ninth Street, Newkirk. Burial will follow in Newkirk Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home, Weatherford.
Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene Webb — A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. at Northeast Baptist Church. A family reception at Attucks Community Center will follow.
Joann Miller — A celebration of life will be held from 12-4 p.m., at Peckham Christian Church, 7090 West Church Road, in Peckham. Dinner will be served.
Margaret Anne Husted — A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. at Trout Funeral Home Chapel.
