Marvin Dale Wickham, age 88, a resident of Foraker, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018. A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Sedan, Kan. on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. under the direction of Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home, Fairfax.
Marvin was born on Jan. 27, 1930 in Caney, Kan. to Alfred Arlow Wickham and Georgia Ella Stark Wickham. He had two brothers. Marvin attended school in Sedan where he met Maudie Dell Wells. They were married on Sept. 10, 1948. To this union were born three sons. Marvin worked in the oil field his entire life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and hunting.
Marvin is survived by his brother, Tom Wickham and wife Hazel, of Sedan; sons, William Dale and wife Vicki, of Ponca City, Robert Ray and wife Susan, of Hobbs, N.M. and James Arlow and wife Linda, of Broken Arrow; grandchildren, Alfred Wickham and wife Brooke, of Tonkawa, Benjamin and Michelle Wickham, of Ponca City, Jason Wickham and wife Lisa, of Alva, Stephanie and husband Narcis Popescu, of Edmond, James Wickham, of Broken Arrow, Lori and husband Brian Cannella, of Broken Arrow; 12 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, more distant relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother, Alfred Wickham Jr.
